Beautiful Botany | Grades K-5

Welcome to our captivating Botany STEM class, specially designed for young nature enthusiasts. In this hands-on learning experience, children will delve into the fascinating world of plants and discover the wonders of botany. Armed with magnifying glasses and lab tools, young botanists will embark on plant dissection explorations. They'll carefully dissect flowers and leaves, observing their intricate structures and identifying essential plant parts. Through this hands-on activity, children will gain a deeper understanding of plant anatomy and the vital processes that sustain plant life. Young botanists will dive into the fascinating process of photosynthesis with this creative activity. Using sun-sensitive paper and various botanical specimens, they'll create Photosynthesis Sun Catchers.  Children will learn about the magical interaction between light, chlorophyll, and plants during photosynthesis. It will provide them with a visual representation of how plants harness energy from the sun to produce food, deepening their appreciation for the essential role plants play in our ecosystem.
